About Framed

Framed is a daily movie guessing game where one still image can expose the entire film — or completely betray your confidence. Guess the movie from up to six frames, with every miss revealing another visual clue. Guess the movie from a single, iconic frame. Every wrong answer gives you a new image clue. Solve it before you run out of film strip slots.

Framed is free to play in your browser — no download and no account needed. Like every good daily game it serves everyone the same challenge each day, so you can compare results with friends and keep your streak alive. Come back tomorrow for a fresh round.

What is framed?

framed is a daily movie guessing game that turns a single film still into a cinematic interrogation. You get one frame from a mystery movie, type your guess, and hope your visual memory is sharper than the director’s lighting choices. The twist is deliciously cruel: every wrong guess unlocks another frame from the same movie. Sometimes the first image gives it away instantly. Other days, you are five frames deep, squinting at a background lamp like it holds the secret to cinema itself.

framed Game Rules

  1. A new movie puzzle appears each day.
  2. You start with Frame 1 from the hidden film.
  3. Enter a movie title as your guess.
  4. Each incorrect guess reveals the next frame.
  5. You have six guesses / six frames maximum.
  6. You can also submit a blank guess to skip forward to the next image.
  7. Correctly name the movie within six guesses to win.
  8. Movies may occasionally reappear with new frames, so an old answer is not automatically eliminated.

How To Play framed?

  1. — Study Frame 1
  2. — Use the Next Visual Clue
  3. — Look for Recognizable Details
  4. — Lock In the Film
  5. — Survive the Final Frame

Strategy & Tips

  1. Start with visual genre: horror, sci-fi, drama, comedy, animation, action, or noir.
  2. Watch for production design. Wallpaper, cars, phones, uniforms, and lighting can reveal the decade.
  3. Do not tunnel on the first vibe. Framed loves misleading stills.
  4. Actor recognition is powerful, but background clues can be even faster.
  5. If you are blank, skipping can be smarter than wasting a guess on a random title.
