About Nerdle

Nerdle is a daily math puzzle where you guess a hidden equation using logic and arithmetic—like Wordle, but with numbers and operators. Six attempts to crack a hidden eight-character math equation. A daily brain gym for the numbers nerd hiding inside you.

Nerdle is free to play in your browser — no download and no account needed. Like every good daily game it serves everyone the same challenge each day, so you can compare results with friends and keep your streak alive. Come back tomorrow for a fresh round.

What is Nerdle?

Numbers don’t lie—but they can definitely hide. Nerdle is a daily puzzle where instead of guessing a word, you’re trying to uncover a hidden mathematical equation. Every guess must be a valid calculation, and every result gives you color-coded feedback to guide your next move. It’s logic, arithmetic, and pattern recognition fused into one. You’re not just solving math—you’re reverse-engineering a hidden structure where every symbol matters.

Nerdle Game Rules

  1. 🔢 You MUST guess a valid mathematical equation (e.g., 8+4=12).
  2. ➗ Equations must follow correct order of operations.
  3. 🎯 You have 6 guesses to find the exact equation.
  4. 🎨 Feedback system:
  5. 🟩 Correct number/operator in the correct position
  6. 🟪 Correct number/operator but in the wrong position
  7. ⬛ Not in the equation
  8. 8 is correct and in place
  9. + is not used
  10. 4 exists but in wrong position
  11. = is correct
  12. 1 is not used
  13. 2 is correct and in place
  14. Every guess MUST be mathematically correct.
  15. You’re solving BOTH the math AND the pattern.
  16. Operators are just as important as numbers.

How To Play Nerdle?

  1. First Guess
  2. Adjust the Equation
  3. Narrow It Down
  4. Reflection — You didn’t just guess—you deduced.

Strategy & Tips

  1. 🧠 Start with balanced equations — use common numbers and operators.
  2. ➗ Think about structure early — multiplication vs addition matters.
  3. 🔍 Track operator positions — they’re key to solving faster.
  4. ⚖️ Use feedback efficiently — eliminate possibilities quickly.
